Welcome to our blog, Bridging Differences
Hello and welcome to Bridging Differences
My name is Kaisei, and I am a university student in Japan🇯🇵. One reason I became interested in this topic is because I have lived in both Japan🇯🇵 and Canada🇨🇦. During that time, I met people from many different cultures, religions, and backgrounds. While most of these experiences were positive, I also noticed how easily misunderstandings can develop when people do not understand each other.
These experiences led me to a question that has stayed with me for years: Can understanding differences create a more peaceful world?
So far, I have learned that there is no simple answer. Some psychologists believe that empathy, communication, and education can reduce prejudice and conflict. Others argue that humans naturally divide themselves into groups and that some level of conflict may always exist.
Through this blog, I hope to explore different perspectives on this question. I will be researching ideas from psychology, sociology, history, and intercultural studies while sharing what I learn along the way.
Whether you agree or disagree with my views, I hope this blog encourages you to think about how differences shape our relationships, communities, and societies.
